Humanity First!

Saving a life is like saving the humanity as a whole! Hence, any service even to the size of a mustard seed given to a needy may makes us better than the one who has accumulated so much wealth for nothing!

Life between an Iqamah and it’s Salah

I remember of hearing some scholar to have said about the life span of a human being on the face of this earth. He explained that life is as short as a period between the Iqamah after Azan. The Iqamah being referred here is the one which is called after the birth of a person.

As per the Islamic tradition, Azan and Iqamah are called in the right and left ears respectively upon the birth of a child. We know that normally these are called prior to some Salah, but upon the birth of a child we are calling both Azan and Iqamah without performing any Salah. So which is the Salah being referred to here, for which the Azan and Iqamah are being called? Any clue?

It is none other than the Janazah Namaz, ie., the Funeral prayer! This essentially means, the Azan and Iqamah have already been called for all of us just after the birth itself, and it is just like we are waiting for the time of the prayer… the Janazah Namaz. Are we still lazy thinking and enjoying this worldly life and its affairs? This is an advice to myself first, and then to all of you to think and reflect. Lets wake up from sleep and realize the realities of this short life.

Insha ALLAH, lets work together for a better and peaceful tomorrow, for that day that is to come after death.

Very nice Mr. Riyas. Short, but informative.
